Our History

In 2003, RC Tshiawelo started the fellowship center in the Midrand area with church services starting in the church building that belonged to one of the white churches. Following the sale of the church building, church services moved to the home of MR VC Tshishonga in country view. Later the services moved to Rabie Ridge combined school. The Midrand fellowship Center was then established as a fully-fledged local church in 2008 as part of God’s ministry through RC Tshiawelo. RC Midrand was then given the mandate to start many fellowship centers that would be established as fully-fledged churches that would form a new Classis called Gauteng North-East. Currently, RC Midrand is made up of three fellowship centers, namely, Centurion, Thembisa and Kempton Park. The following represents a short description of the three fellowship centers that made RC Midrand:

The Centurion fellowship center was started in 2010 as part of God’s ministry through RC Midrand working with sister churches in Classis Gauteng and Synod Zoutpansberg. The followship center was formed by members of RC Midrand who were residing in the Centurion area. The work to start the followship center was enabled by among other efforts, dedicated efforts of church leaders and ministers of the Word of RC Tshiawelo and from sister churches in Classis Gauteng and Synod Zoutpansberg. The aim of these efforts was to expand the Kingdom of God by growing the followship center into fully-fledged local church that would form a new classis together with other fellowship centers that would have been started through this ministry.

The Kempton Park fellowship center was started in 2018 as part of God’s ministry through RC Midrand working with sister churches in Classis Gauteng and Synod Zoutpansberg. The followship center was formed by members of RC Midrand who were residing in the Kempton Park area.
